ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY
Echocardiography is the examination of the heart’s internal structure and functions by sound waves (ultrasound). It is made by means of a transducer which transmits the sound waves. The transducer is applied to different parts of the chest wall and the heart’s walls and valves are examined in different positions.
